Pellet Production

Graanul Invest has developed rapidly and grown to be Europe´s biggest pellet producer.

In its first stage of activities the company established two pellet factories in 2004, the first of which was built in Imavere, Estonia and the second in Alytus, Lithuania. After starting up the two pellet factories in 2005, Graanul Invest has grown through acquisitions and building new factories and today the group operates 11 pellet factories.

Pellets constitute a solid biological fuel, being one of the most convenient and effective sources of renewable energy.

Pellets constitute a 100% renewable natural resource and are sustainable source of energy.

The main product of  AS Graanul Invest is pellets produced from softwood sawdust and wood chips. Group production capacity is 2,2 million tons per year.

This process results in the production of pellets with the diameter of 6 – 8 mm. Pellets do not contain any additives besides natural wood. Pellets due to uniform quality and dimensions  can be conveniently used in automatic household heating solutions as well as in automated industrial systems.
