Graanul Invest group

Graanul Invest is a privately owned company, established in  2003, that operates in the field of bioenergy and biotechnology development, forestry and production of renewable energy.

We are one of the biggest pellet producers in Europe, one of the biggest independent renewable energy producers in the Baltic  Sea region and one of the largest private forestland owners in Estonia. 

Graanul Invest group includes 11 large and modern pellet factories, two sales organisations, six combined heat and power plants (CHP plants), three companies engaged in forest management and one company focused on biotechnology. The group of AS Graanul Invest employs over 500 people.

The goal of the company is to produce and supply nature-friendly and high-quality products to its customers and contribute to the preservation of the environment by providing renewable fuel to the market and reduction of waste from conventional fossil fuel based energy.

      AS Graanul Invest is the holding company of the group. Imavere pellet plant was the group’s first pellet plant, completed in 2005. 

    • OÜ Helme Graanul
      Estonia

      Helme pellet plant was built in 2002. Graanul Invest acquired the plant from previous owners in 2008. 

    • OÜ Ebavere Graanul
      Estonia

      This pellet plant started production in 1999. Graanul Invest acquired the plant from previous owners in August 2012.

      The plant construction works started in 2006 and were completed in March 2007. In 2012  the CHP plant was built next to the pellet plant and the existing pellet plant was reconstructed.

      The Incukalns pellet factory started operations in the beginning of 2012. In 2014 two biomass CHP power plants were commissioned next to factory.

      That plant was completed in August 2004 and produced its first pellets in May 2005.
