Graanul Invest will become the main sponsor of the Estonian national volleyball team
Graanul Invest and the Estonian Volleyball Union will sign a two-and-a-half-year co-operation agreement on Friday (21.06), just before the European Gold League semi-final match between Estonia and Turkey. This agreement will establish Graanul Invest as the main sponsor of the national men’s volleyball team.
Graanul Invest has been a long-term supporter of volleyball and since 2018 has also been the main sponsor of youth teams. As the main sponsor of Estonian youth and now also the men’s national team Graanul Invest is the biggest volleyball supporter in Estonia.
“Today volleyball has grown into a sport that offers a lot of emotions to Estonians. With our support we would like to contribute to the development of the men's team as well as continue to bring the sporting events to the Estonian people, ”said Jaano Haidla, Member of the Board of Graanul Invest. "We hope that this genuine and direct experience infects both younger and older volleyball fans and also increases the popularity and capacity of the sport."
According to the president of the Estonian Volleyball Union Hanno Pevkur, Graanul Invest's decision to become the main sponsor of the national team in addition to the youth teams is a significant step for all of Estonian sports. “Every entrepreneur's decision to support a sport is always worthy of recognition. Especially when it comes to becoming the main sponsor. We will do our best to provide Estonia with positive emotions for supporters as well as for the whole Estonian nation. The national team is expected to face the EM finals tournament in September and hopefully also the Olympic Games qualifications in January next year. But definitely the 2020 European Gold League, qualifications for the World Cup finals in 2021 and hopefully the 2021 EM finals in Estonia. This means that the next few years will be full of top volleyball with Graanul Invest, ”noted Pevkur.
In addition to volleyball, Graanul Invest Group supports various local youth sports clubs and activities. In 2018, Graanul Invest together with its subsidiaries supported over 50 different activities and events in Estonia and Latvia.
